A Piece of WeaknessA touch of the hand that once held this heartA Piece of Weakness
now sends shivers down this spine
that crawling temptation once shred me apart
but I'm graced with the knowledge we're no longer entwined
To once be content with a soft little smile
and the press of sweet lips, tender to my cheek
I flooded myself with this mass of denial
and subjected myself to a gaze for the weak
To hear pretty words from the mouth that spoke lies
and to blatantly ignore the obvious corruption
of the love, who in fact, was so set to despise
